迈克尔·苏立文 Michael Sullivan (1916 - )，牛津大学圣凯瑟琳学院荣誉退休院士，曾在伦敦大学、斯坦福大学、剑桥大学等多所高校和研究机构从事教学研究，荣获美国国家人文基金会、古根海姆基金会、洛克菲勒基金会等多所机构颁发的多项荣誉和研究基金。1940年代 来到中国，开始接触中国艺术，结识了庞薰琹、吴作人、丁聪、郁风、关山月、刘开渠等现代中国画家，此后又与几代中国艺术家和诸多艺术机构来往密切。毕生专注于中国艺术的研究和传播，是最早向西方介绍中国现代艺术的西方学者之一，并成为这一领域的国际权威和引领者。苏立文教授撰写有《20世纪中国艺术与艺术家》《艺术中国》《东西方艺术的交会》等多部深具影响力的专著。
